Book of Mormon Camp - Day 3
So, today we took our camp up to Daybreak Lake. We sat on the shore of the lake and talked about the Brother of Jared and how he had to cross the sea in barges that didn't have any light or air. We talked about the ways the Lord answered his prayers and how, because he had great faith he saw the finger of the Lord. We talked about how we can increase our faith and decided that the things we talked about yesterday that strengthen our spiritual fortifications are the same things that will help increase our faith in Jesus Christ. Then we went for a walk by the lake looking for round stones. At the end of our walk I gave each of the kids a clear, glass stone for them to keep to remind them about the Brother of Jared.

Besides looking at stones on our walk, we also saw ducks, birds, bugs and even a turtle.
The kids wanted to bring the turtle home as a pet and were quite disappointed when I said no way! We finished up by coming home to write in our journals about what we did and saw.

I love it. I may just have to steal all of your ideas so keep them coming... :-)
Love the pictures of all the kids on the boardwalk. Cute!
