Snowy Christmas Day
When we woke up on Christmas morning, it was snowing and blowing. This is what we saw out our front door.
Because of the wind, we had areas where we could see the grass through the snow and then areas where the snow was at least 3 feet deep. This was what we found when we opened the garage door.
We braved the storm to go visit Jeremy's family because we heard that it wasn't snowing at all where they lived. However, it was a struggle just to get out of our driveway and neighborhood. Once we got onto the main roads it was a little easier going. When we got home we could not get into our driveway. We drove as far as we could until the van just stopped. As we looked back at where we had driven, we could see our path all the way up the street. We were plowing the snow with our van! I couldn't even get out of the van because the snow was blocking the door. Look at the snow in front of the tire!
Jeremy got our and shoveled a path from the house to the van while we all waited inside the warm, comfortable van. It's days like this when I think we need to invest in a snowblower!

We had so much snow and it was so wet and heavy, that our snowblower wouldn't blow it! What a pain. Glad you were able to travel out and return safe.
Maybe Erik & Jeremy can split a snowblower. Seriously! We'll have to do it for next winter. Nothing beats the image of the two of them shovelling down the street though! I swear we didn't see Erik for half the days this holiday because he was out shovelling snow so much (and who knows how many people who got stuck in their drives.)
BTW, it's perfect that Jordan & Holly got the same singing Barbies for Christmas - we need to collaborate more often so they automatically get the same things and aren't begging us to go buy them this and that because "she has it!"
Heads up, they both want THE Diamond Castle for their birthdays! I'm gonna have to see how much those are.
Holy cow! I can't believe all that snow. Wow! Stay warm up there :)
