For Pioneer Day this year, we invited my family over. However, my dad was out of town, Sarah's husband, Bryan, was out of town, Sarah's daughter, Rebekah, was at girls camp, and Melissa's husband, Scott couldn't come. So, it was mainly just the girls and Jeremy. He says he's used to it by now but I felt a little bad for him anyway. What a good sport he is! We missed Mary, Ryan and family in Texas and Rachel and Spencer in Cedar.
We had a great dinner and then visited for a little bit before the fireworks. I think Melissa and my mom were wanting to get home a little earlier but Jeremy talked them into staying for the fireworks. It was fun to have them there. Our new firework tradition has been watching the firework and then trying to guess the name. The real names of the fireworks are usually incredibly uncreative but we had fun making up our own names. The kids still think fireworks are the greatest although the only ones they have really seen are the dinky little ones we do in the front yard. What a nice way to spend an evening.
