New Hardware

When we built our house we went with the standard door hardware which was brass because we didn't want to pay like $800 to upgrade to satin nickel. We decided that was something we could change on our own someday. Well, someday is here. When they were ordering the satin nickel hardware for the basement we had them order us enough to replace all the upstairs hardware as well. So, for the past two days whenever we have had a minute we have been changing door knobs, hinges, door stops, strike plates, etc. It's not a hard job but it does take a lot of time. I counted and we have 25 doors to do--4 in the hall bathroom alone. It's a little thing, but it sure makes a difference--to me at least!
