We went to St. George over Conference weekend with Jeremy's parents. They have a condo there and invited us to come spend the weekend with them. It was a fabulous little getaway! The weather was in the upper 80's the whole time. We packed in the activities. We drove down on Friday morning and went swimming almost as soon as we got there. It was a fun pool and the kids were thrilled to be swimming! For dinner the kids chose their favorite restaraunt, McDonalds. They were in heaven! After dinner we decided to go bowling. Dalton has bowled on the Wii so much and is so good at it that he was a little disappointed that he wasn't as adept at real bowling. He didn't like that Jeremy was beating him! Sadly, Dalton's solution was for me to bowl for Jeremy so that he could win. What does that say about how my child perceives my skills?!

Saturday we went miniature golfing and then to Snow Canyon.

We had a picnic lunch in near the sand dunes and then let the kids dig and play in the sand until they were bored.

After the sand dunes we found the lava flow trail and we hiked and saw lava caves. The kids were very interested in how the caves were formed and if the volcano was still active.

Then we went home and swam some more. The condo also had tennis courts and racquetball courts and the kids tried those all out with Grandma. When Dad and Grandpa went to Priesthood Session, Dalton and Grandma went out to play more racquetball and the girls and I had girly time and painted our fingernails and toenails.
We left Sunday morning and had a pretty good drive home. Unfortunately, we came home to snow. It was a fabulous break and we had a great time just spending time together. Now we are just waiting for the weather here to decide that Winter is over and it is ok for Spring to arrive.

so, are you saying that just because I'm really good at "Rock Band" that I can't actually pay the guitar? glad you guys had a great vacation. I'm hoping for similar weather in Moab this week but afraid it won't happen!
