This past week all the kids brought home a note saying that they were being recognized in an assembly and getting an award for showing Leader In Me traits. This month they were focusing on "putting first things first."

Since all three of the kids brought home the note I assumed that they were giving one to all the students or maybe all the S-Z names. However, when I got to the school I realized that each teacher just picked 4 or 5 kids from their class and it was a total coincidence that all three of my kids got an award in the same month.
As part of their recognition they were invited to a party where they received a cookie and ice cream. I was a pretty proud mama!
